Job description

  • High-quality and timely analysis of extensive genomic data as part of internal and customer projects.
  • Development and maintenance of bioinformatics tools and pipelines for genomic data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new analytical solutions.
  • Efficiently present results and findings to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Stay abreast of advances in the field of bioinformatics and integrate new methods into our workflow.

Job requirements


  • MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or similar discipline with a focus on extensive data analysis and computational tools development.
  • Experience in handling and analyzing data for at least three of these experimental approaches: WGS, RNA-Seq, longreads, gene-editing and immunological data.
  • Experience in programming languages; Bash, Python or R. Familiarity with source code management tools (Gitlab) and project management approaches.
  • Experience in the development of bioinformatics pipelines and management of tools.
  • High-level computational expertise and ability to handle complex projects with autonomy and a good team-player.
  • Experience in interpreting, communicating and discussing scientific results.

Highly desired (one of):

  • Experience in development of bioinformatics tools in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with computer system validation.
  • Experience in Gene Therapy or Molecular Biology field.
  • Experience in Statistical Modelling.
  • Experience in Long Read Sequencing.
  • Experience with maintaining high code quality through good documentation and testing.
  • Experience with next generation sequencing data.
  • Industry experience is highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills and an understanding of selling solutions.
