Job description
The position is initially a two-year fixed-term position.
Analysis of recombinant proteins and therapeutic protein drug substances in a GMP environment.
Structural characterization of proteins and biosimilars using mass spectrometric techniques (LC‑MS, RP‑MS, SEC‑MS, IEX‑MS).
Application of a broad range of MS methodologies: intact protein analysis, sequence verification, comprehensive characterization of post‑translational modifications, disulfide bond mapping, glycosylation analysis, protein identification and quantification in complex mixtures, etc.
Data analysis using various software packages and databases (qualitative and quantitative).
Project management including project and laboratory work planning as well as reporting to international clients.
Method development and method optimization.
Job requirements
Successfully completed vocational training with several years of relevant professional experience or a completed Master’s degree or a PhD in proteomics, mass spectrometry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
If holding a PhD, postdoctoral research experience is considered an advantage.
You possess excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in proteomics sample preparation techniques, development of LC/MS‑based assays, and data processing for quantitative proteomics applications.
You bring solid expertise in analytical sciences, including the scientific and technical aspects of bioanalytical investigation of proteins and peptides in complex biological matrices.
You are an expert in mass spectrometry (LC‑MS/MS).
A high level of quality awareness, as well as customer‑ and goal‑oriented working style, distinguish you.
You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills along with a pronounced interest in and enthusiasm for complex analytical challenges.
