Job description

  • Management and organization of a dedicated team consisting of scientists and technicians

  • Expansion and further development of the team's methodological portfolio for protein analytics in the quality control of biopharmaceutical active ingredients

  • Planning, monitoring, reviewing, and documenting laboratory activities for the characterization and analysis of biopharmaceuticals such as proteins, antibodies, and peptides

  • Evaluation of analytical results and participation in the preparation of reports

  • Responsibility for the timely and budget-compliant execution of laboratory activities, as well as coordination of personnel and equipment resources

  • Implementation and optimization of analytical methods in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards

  • Maintenance and promotion of effective and goal-oriented working relationships within the organization

  • Project management of cross-departmental projects

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (GMP)

Job requirements

  • Completed Master’s degree in natural sciences, preferably with a PhD (e.g., biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacy), with a focus on bioanalytics.

  • At least 3 years of practical professional experience in the analysis of biopharmaceuticals, proteins, and peptides, ideally with experience in a GMP environment.

  • Strong expertise in physicochemical and LC-based protein analytics (e.g. OD, RP, SEC, AF4, CAD, MALLS, pharmacopoeial methods), as well as in the evaluation of LC-based raw data.

  • Proven leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Reliability and strong organizational skills.

  • Confident communication with international clients and representing the company externally.

  • Proactive approach to challenges.

  • Excellent proficiency in both German and English.

  • Solid IT skills.
