Job description

We are looking for a Laboratory Manager (m/f/d) for our site in Heilbronn to cover parental leave. The position is initially limited to two years.

  • Management of a “Physicochemical Properties” team at the Heilbronn site

    • Disciplinary management, including personnel management and further development of human resources, conducting personnel selection interviews, training new employees, and planning and implementing training measures

    • Technical management, including expansion and further development of the team's portfolio of methods, increasing efficiency/cost-effectiveness within the team, monitoring the industrial and scientific environment, and introducing new processes

  • Management of cross-group projects

    • Planning, management, and implementation of complex (customer) projects in accordance with budget, quality, and time specifications as Study Lead in collaboration with project management

    • Customer communication

    • Preparation of customer requirements/project content for the project team

  • Performing work in accordance with GMP (including release testing, validation, verification, and transfer of methods, qualification of equipment and computer-based systems, including the corresponding documentation)

  • Review of raw data, documentation, results, and reports

  • Technical support for the Business Development department in the context of preparing quotations, presentations, and product cost estimates

  • Responsibility for occupational health and safety within the team

Job requirements

  • You have an excellent master's degree or doctorate with a focus on bioanalytics or equivalent.

  • You have at least 3 years of practical professional experience in the field of biopharmaceutical, protein, and peptide analysis.

  • You have experience in analytics in a GMP environment.

  • You have excellent knowledge of physicochemical and LC-based analytical methods.

  • You have outstanding leadership skills, reliability, and organizational talent.

  • You communicate confidently with international customers and represent the company professionally, both in German and English.

  • You are characterized by a high degree of quality awareness, customer focus, and goal orientation.

  • You have strong social skills and a keen interest in and enjoyment of complex analytical issues.
